Shallow Grave meets The Secret History in this quirky psychological thriller.
When you’re bound together by secrets and lies who do you trust?
Five young graduates on the threshold of their careers buy a house together in order to get a foot on the property ladder before prices spiral out of their reach. But it soon becomes the house share from hell.
After their New Year’s Eve party, they discover a body – and it’s clear they’ll be the first suspects. As each of them has a good reason from their past not to trust the police, they come up with a solution – one which forces them into a life of secrets and lies.
But can they trust each other?
Katharine Johnson grew up in Bristol and now divides her time between Berkshire and Lucca, Italy. After doing a History degree she trained to be a journalist and has worked for a variety of magazines, writing about everything including the kitchen sink. She’s loved writing since childhood and wrote her first book aged nine. When not writing she can usually be found walking her spaniel, doing the school run, playing netball or being a room guide in a stately home.
Katharine loves to hear from readers so if you fancy a chat do get in touch

I am grateful to The Fiction Café – Review Group and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for the honest review. I have never ready anything by Katharine Johnson but I will be looking for more of her books.
Are you looking for a great read, well this book is awesome. Has a few twists and turns and makes you wonder who to trust. The Suspects is a gripping page turner, full of strong characters with dark pasts and secrets – all revealed at just the right moments – by talented thriller writer, Katharine Johnson. There are five graduates who buy a house together despite knowing know very little of each other except from outside of their work place. They decided to throw a New Years Eve party that end bad. A body found in the basemen; the questions started, what happened who did it and what should they do? Call the cops; Cover it up. Well they decided to cover it up. Now the secrets, lies and who they can trust game.
I loved each character; each had different view and flaw of what they wanted each to believe. I found that this book was faced paced and kept me wanting to find out what was happening next and had me guessing what was going to happen next.
If you are into psychological thrillers and this is one that you, do not want to miss reading. I highly recommend this book.
Thanks for this lovely review x
